The Experience....

Ballooning is classed as 'soft adventure' and appropriate clothing is encouraged. Good sturdy footwear is essential. A hat. (the burners are very powerful) Layered clothing. Trousers. It can be quite cool in the early mornings prior to take-off.

You will be met by your pilot at the pick-up point and drive to our launch site.
After a final weather check its 'all hands on deck' as we assemble the balloon for take-off.
After a flight briefing we will commence with the inflation of the balloon.
After pre-flight take-off checks and safety briefing we take-off.
Feel free to ask your pilot about the area and ballooning.
Just before landing you will get a final landing briefing.
We all help to pack the balloon away.
Picnic Breakfast is served!
Return to Pick-up point.

Things you need to know....

Costs. $375pp over the age of 12yrs. $285pp under the age of 12 years.

We operate from the first day of November to the last day of February.

Due to changing weather conditions, cancellations may be necessary for your safety. In the event of cancellations 'by the company 'a full refund will be given.* No refunds for any other reason.

Hot Air Balloons are 'registered aircraft' with the NZ Civil Aviation Authority. Therefore we must comply with all NZ CAA regulations.

The pilot in command of an aircraft has sole responsibility for the safety of the passengers and aircraft. You must follow the pilots directions at all times.

*gift certificates will be re-validated for 12 months from date of cancellation.
